ToolCheckHQ publishes reviews, comparisons, tutorials, and guides about AI tools, software, SaaS products, CRM platforms, and marketing technology. This page explains how we work, so you know what to expect from what you read here.
1. What we are trying to do
We want to help you decide whether a product is right for you before you spend money on it. For every product, we try to cover:
- What it does
- Who it suits, and who it doesn’t
- The features that matter
- Pricing
- Strengths and weaknesses
- Alternatives worth looking at
- What to check before you buy
2. How we review products
Every review carries one of two labels near the top, so you know how we looked at the product.
Tested. We signed up for the product (free plan, free trial, or paid plan) and used it ourselves. These reviews include our own screenshots, the date we tested, and what we liked and didn’t like. If we only tested part of the product, we say which part.
Researched. We haven’t used the product ourselves. These reviews are built from the company’s official documentation, pricing pages, help center, and feedback from real users on public review platforms. We don’t claim hands-on experience we don’t have.
If a review has no label, treat it as Researched.
3. Facts and opinions
We try to keep the two apart. Pricing, features, trial terms, and specifications are facts, and we take them from the company’s own pages at the time of writing. Things like ease of use, value, and who a product is good for are our opinion. Another reviewer might see it differently, and that’s fine.
4. Affiliate links
Some of the products we cover have affiliate programs. If you buy through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
This does not buy a good review. We cover products that have no affiliate program, and we give low scores or a clear “not recommended” to products that have one. Our Affiliate Disclosure has the full details.
5. Sponsored content
If we are ever paid to publish something, or a company sponsors a page, we will say so clearly on that page. Payment does not turn an article into a recommendation, and sponsors don’t get to approve or edit our conclusions.
6. How we rate
When we give a rating, it is our own judgment. We look at features, pricing, ease of use, support, integrations, flexibility, and how well the product fits a specific kind of user. A tool that works well for a freelancer may be a poor choice for a 50-person sales team, and our reviews try to say so.
We don’t show star ratings we haven’t earned. If we haven’t used a product, we won’t give it a score that suggests we have.
7. Prices and updates
Software changes fast. Companies change prices, plans, and features without warning, and we can’t promise every page is current the moment you read it.
Each review shows the date we last checked pricing and features. We recheck important pages at least every 90 days. Please confirm the current price on the company’s website before you buy.
8. Corrections
If we get something wrong, we want to fix it. Readers and companies can report a mistake by emailing info@toolcheckhq.com with:
- The link to the article
- What you think is incorrect
- A source that supports the correction, if you have one
When we confirm a real factual error, we correct it and update the page. We keep final editorial control over how an article is changed.
9. Feedback from companies
Companies we write about are welcome to contact us to correct facts, tell us about product updates, share documentation, or offer review access. Sending us feedback doesn’t give a company control over what we publish.
10. Who writes our content, and our use of AI tools
Articles on ToolCheckHQ are written and checked by Naresh. Each article shows its author.
We use software tools, including AI tools, to help with research, outlining, editing, and formatting. A person reads every article before it goes live and is responsible for what it says. Using these tools does not change our responsibility for accuracy.
11. Independence
Our first obligation is to the reader. Affiliate income helps pay for this site, but it does not decide what we conclude about a product.
